and what we do with it.

This page describes how we handle personal information on ckbdesign.ie. It is written to be read, not to be skipped. Last updated 6 September 2026.

Who the data controller is

Chris Curtis Kitchens & Wardrobes Limited, trading as CKB Design, a company registered in Ireland under CRO number 309359. Registered address: Clongil, Wilkinstown, Navan, Co. Meath. What the enquiry form collects

The form on our contact page asks for five things: your name, your email address, your phone number (optional), what you are interested in (kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, tiles, flooring, a VR walkthrough, a whole home, or something else), and a short description of your project. We ask for nothing else. There is no account to create and no payment taken on this website.

We use that information for one purpose: to answer you, and to prepare for a showroom appointment if you want one. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you made of us, and, where a project proceeds, taking steps at your request prior to entering a contract.

Who else sees it

The form does not write to a database. Each submission is sent as an email to our showroom inbox by Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.), which acts as a data processor on our behalf and transmits the message. The email then sits in our own mailbox like any other enquiry. We do not sell your details, and we do not pass them to third parties for marketing.

We record the IP address of form submissions in memory, briefly, only to limit how many enquiries one source can send in an hour. It is not stored on disk and does not survive a restart of the website.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted from the showroom inbox after 12 months. Where a project goes ahead, the contract and the records that go with it are kept for as long as Irish tax and company law requires.

Cookies and analytics

This website sets no analytics cookies and runs no third-party tracking. We do not know who you are until you tell us. The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps and Google may set cookies when that frame loads; nothing else on the site loads from a third party. If we add analytics later, this page will say so before it goes live and a consent banner will appear with it.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on legitimate interest, you can object at any time and we will stop unless we have a compelling reason not to.

To exercise any of these, email kitchens@ckbdesign.ie with “Data request” in the subject line. We will answer within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not hand your details to somebody else.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your information badly, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority: the Data Protection Commission, 6 Pembroke Row, Dublin 2, D02 X963 — dataprotection.ie.
